Owen's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to hire an employee and to purchase marketing and advertising supplies.
This loan will help Owen expand his tutoring business and reach out to more students, of all ages, looking to advance their education. Owen moved from Saint Lucia to New York City 15 years ago. After earning his masters degree in music education, he began offering music lessons to students in his local Brooklyn community. Owen discovered that he not only enjoyed teaching music, but enjoyed teaching in general. In addition to offering music lessons, he took a job teaching math and English to elementary and middle school students. After years of gaining experience teaching, Owen decided to open his own home-based business, Roken-4-Life Tutoring Agency, in January 2013. While his company’s main focus is aimed towards helping disadvantaged high school students prepare for college exams, he also offers tutoring help in all school subjects and provides music lessons in a wide range of instruments and genres. Owen now hires four tutors to help him give private lessons in the students’ homes or in local libraries. Wishing to expand his tutoring business, Owen is looking for a loan to hire another tutor and to invest in marketing and advertising in order to attract more students.
