Claudia's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to buy compost.
Claudia is 49 years old and is a very happy woman. She lives in a house that she bought with her husband, Vidal, 27 years ago. They have seven children but only two still live with them, along with her little granddaughter. Claudia farms and also raises livestock. Every morning she goes out to her land where she cares for her cattle and makes cheese with the milk they produce, but she has been farming for more than 15 years. She has her own farmland where she raises corn, potatoes, and peas, “I plant in quantity, so I need working capital since the money doesn’t come for months, until the harvest, when I sell my food,” she says. This is how she cares for her crops and she depends greatly on them to have good earnings. This will be her second Kiva loan and she is grateful for the financial support she gets that helps her get ahead. She also promises to be on time with her payments. Claudia will use the S/500 to buy compost to feed her crops.
