Mery

Mery is married with 2 children and lives in a rented house in the city of El Alto. She has only had primary level education. She earns a living selling condiments and weaving blankets and so is able to help her husband with the household running costs. He works for a trade union. This is the first time Mery has asked for a loan from Kiva. She needs a loan so she can start her project of weaving fabric for casual clothing for children, which is a more profitable business than weaving blankets. Mery's dream is to open a big workshop where she can weave all kinds of clothing.
