Fulamusu's story

Meet Fulamusu, She is a 30-year-old woman from Waterloo eastern area in Sierra Leone. She is married and has three children. Two of her children are currently attending school. In 2005, Fulamusu established a local food business within the Waterloo community. She began her business because she wanted to create a permanent source of income to support her children. She works at the business from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., seven days per week. She says that the main challenge to her business is price inflation of goods. Fulamusu requires a loan in order to purchase more local food like palm oil, gari and beans. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to become more successful and pay her children's school fees. In the future, Fulamusu plans to expand her enterprise to wholesale. She thanks you for your support.
