Restauracion Group's story
This group is made up of three enterprising members, one of whom is Marvell, 34. She is in a common-law marriage with two children, ages 8 and 13. For six years, she has had a business selling nacatamales, a typical Nicaraguan dish made of filled corn dough wrapped in plantain leaves. She sells her products in her community. She has applied for a loan to invest in a bookstore where she will sell school supplies such as notebooks, pencils, pens, card stock, crepe paper, etc. Fátima, 33, has a business selling tortillas. Kelin, 21, makes a living selling nacatamales.
