Rosa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase ingredients such as rice and oils to prepare foods to sell.

Rosa's story

Rosa is 35, married, and lives in her family's home with her husband and two children. Rosa sells food and drinks in the morning from a stand in a city market. Rosa started the business over five years ago, on her own initiative and with her own funds. Rosa's sister has been supporting the business until now and Rosa shares the stand's income with her. Rosa decided to start her own business because of her desire to have her own income and support her family. She is currently saving money to one day open a store, and right now is dedicated to the sale of meals and drinks. This is Rosa's second loan with Kiva. She is happy and grateful to know that she can rely on financial support to fulfill her plans. Rosa is therefore committed to making timely payments, as she has for previous loans. Rosa will invest the 1,000 soles in the purchase of ingredients she needs to prepare the dishes she sells, such as rice, sugar, oils, and others.
