Musarat is 32-year-old married woman. She is the mother of three children, two daughters and one son. She is striving hard to meet their needs, including food, clothing, and health care. Her husband is employed in a small restaurant, but his income is insufficient to meet the daily expenditures of the family. She started her business to contribute to the family income. She has been in the business of sewing for a period of about four years. She is quite familiar with stitching techniques. She initiated her business with the support of Kashf Foundation, when she took out her first loan to buy a sewing machine. At present, she enjoys a great client list and has gained a lot of appreciation and popularity in her community. She applied for a loan of PKR 15,000 to buy a stock of thread in various colors, as well as some packets of buttons, ribbons and zippers.
