Kiadiatu's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more pepper, oil, beans, peanuts, etc. for her business.

Kiadiatu's story

Kiadiatu lives in New Kru town, which is one of the oldest communities in Liberia. Living conditions there are a bit difficult due to the high rate of criminal activity, few bathrooms, filthy conditions and over population, but the most interesting part is that rooms are bit cheaper, there are options for traveling, it contains one of the biggest markets in Liberia and food costs less. 47-year-old Kaidiatu is married. Her husband works as driver, and together they have four children between the ages of 21 and 4. Only three of her children are currently attending school and live at home. Kaidiatu was unfortunate and could not attend school, but she keeps busy running her business where she sells charcoal in the market of New Kru Town. With the loan proceeds she will buy more pepper, oil, beans, peanuts, etc. for her business. She said that besides fewer goods on her market table, she has no other problems for now. With a little money from her mother she managed to establish this business fifteen years ago, and learned by seeing other businesswomen. She stated that she enjoys the flow of customers and the fast buying. Her dreams are to move from her charcoal business to a store business, and for her family to live better lives in the future.
