Nadira, 38 years old, married, has 3 children (2 sons and 1 daughter). Her training is in teaching elementary school classes. Since 2004, she has been engaged in farming, having started the business with 20,000 somons (KGS). To date, she has been able to develop her agricultural capabilities, and also has her own farm. On the farm, she has a 3 dairy cows, 8 calves and 10 goats, as well as 2 hectares of irrigated land on which she grows potatoes every year. In order to further expand her farm and arable land, Nadira has turned to "Bai-Tushum and Partners" Microfinance Bank to request a loan in the amount of 20,000 somons (KGS) in order to purchase fertilizer for potatoes. Nadira plans to invest the income from the loan towards increasing the amount of cattle on her farm.
