Moussodjeton 1 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy supplies, seeds, small agricultural tools and to pay for labor.

Moussodjeton 1 Group's story

The members of the Moussodjeton 1 group are all married women. They have an average age of 35 and an average of 4 children each. They all live in traditional families in Djalakoro, a village in San, the fourth administrative region of Mali. These women work with the Soro Yiriwaso microfinance institution so that they can see their farming businesses through the winter. This is their fifth loan from the institution. Their previous loans were all repaid promptly. Aissa is the lady crouching on the far right of the photo, wearing a green/white scarf round her neck. She grows peanuts. She plans to use her loan to buy supplies, seeds and small agricultural tools. She will also pay labor costs for workers to farm 1 hectare of land. After harvesting, she will sell her produce at the village level and also in San to a customer base made up of both men and women. She plans to make a profit of 60,000 francs at the end of the season. These profits will allow her to repay her loan and to help her husband with their daily expenses.
