Antonio's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase manure.
Antonio is 58 years old. He has 6 children but lives with only one of them in a house he owns. Antonio grows and harvests local products such as rice, yucca, bananas, etc. He plants these products in his cropland, which he has been cultivating for 20 years. He has learned a lot since he started. At first he only grew cocoa but his desire to get ahead made him start to grow other products to increase his income. Antonio feels comfortable doing his work and he is doing well. His products are awaited by many customers in the city and this generates good income for him. He sells the bananas, yucca and rice to an industry close to his farm. He sells the rest of his crops at the markets in town. He has many plans for the future, to improve his crops. This will be Antonio's first loan with Kiva and he is happy to know that he will have the financial support to allow him to move forward. For this reason, he is committed to paying his loan fees in a timely manner. With the amount of 3,500 Nuevos Soles from the loan, Antonio will buy manure to improve his crops.
