A loan helped to buy twenty sheep and to do repair work of the animal barn.

Gohar's story

Gohar is acquainted with Kiva lenders since she has already previously taken a loan and she knows that she can fully trust and expect support from Kiva. She has a farm, which was enriched through the help of her first loan with twenty-five sheep, which were added to the fifteen sheep that she used to have before. Like last year, Gohar’s occupation is still sheep breeding and her farm is very well known around the village Ghghamvan in the Sevan area where she lives. Sheep breeding gives her an opportunity to sell some meat and cheese that she makes herself, which brings not big but nevertheless some income to her family. Gohar is married and she has two sons. The eldest is a student of paid division and the second one is still school-aged. It is obvious that the financial needs in this family are a lot and Gohar tries to solve them somehow. Gohar is asking for a loan of 1.000.000 Armenian drams in order to buy twenty sheep and to repair the barn by making it bigger and warmer for the coming winter cold months.
