Labani's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy new models of cell phones and accessories to go with them.
Labani is 31 years old. She has a small store where she sells cell phones, MP3 players, chips, and cell phone accessories, such as cases, covers, displays, SIM cards, headphones, protectors, screen protectors, and other accessories, such as loudspeakers, antennas, bracelets, HDMI cables, and data cables. She also offers technical repair services for cell phones, installation of the accessories she sells, and minute reloads for the country's cell phone companies. She lives in the city of Bogotá, capital of the Republic of Colombia, with her partner and their 11-month-old son. She opened her store seven years ago, taking advantage of the opportunity and the growth of the communications revolution, with its constant innovation in the models offered by different cell phone brands and their accessories and applications. She has a point-of-sale that has become a fixture where she does business and she has maintained a level of sales that has allowed her to cover her household expenses. This is her first Kiva loan with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo and she will use it to buy new models of cell phones and accessories to go with them. This will increase her stock so she can offer her customers excellent service and thereby keep increasing her sales so that she can open another store in the near future.
