but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy fertilisers, manure and fumigation pumps for her coffee crop.
Dilcia Varinia's story
Dilcia is a married woman and a mother of 2 children. She is 35 years old. She is a farmer and housewife. She completed 6 years of primary education. Her younger child is in grade 6 and the oldest is an independent young woman who works outside the home and sometimes helps her parents with their tasks in the fields. She has been working solely in agriculture for many years as her own parents taught her to grow coffee. Growing coffee is her only source of income. Her husband, as well as her older daughter, work the land with her. They have different tasks to carry out and the crops are 30 minutes from the house where they live. They travel between the house and the fields by animal and sometimes on foot. Dilcia is requesting assistance to buy fertilisers, manure and a fumigation pump for her crops as she wants to avoid them getting diseases or getting damaged. Her dream is to be one of the best producers and sellers of this produce, by introducing new maintenance systems and higher quality products for the land and planting. In this way she will be able to generate income for her family and support her children providing for their needs, etc.
