Pocohilense Group's story

Tomasa Martin, 28, is single. She didn't have the opportunity to go to school. She makes a living weaving huipiles [traditional blouses] and belts for women. She started this business with the support of her mother and currently has three years of experience. She's organizing a group and decided to request a loan to expand her working capital by buying thread to be able to weave huipiles and belts. In the future she wants to get more capital to be able to offer a variety of styles to sell The other members of the group make a living in handicrafts. Only nine members appear in the photograph. The missing two weren't able to attend the meeting.
