A loan helped to buy a solar panel for her home.
Santa Emiliana's story
Santa, 37, is a single housewife who has worked as a farmer for many years, having learnt the trade from her parents as this has always been her family's main source of income. She has completed primary level education, thanks to a lot of effort and hard work. She grows potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower and other things and has been working in this trade for 17 years. She is grateful to her parents for giving her a place to work and grow her crops, which she sells in the different areas around her home town. Currently she lives with her parents in a home that they built together as a family, their home has no electricity and there were no plans to install it for a while as their area is remote and the budget is small. But, with the help that she is requesting today, she will be able to buy a solar panel that will help her parents and avoid them having to burn oil lamps and wood, which is damaging for their health and the environment. Her dream is to be able to sell her products on a large scale and through this she will be able to earn more money for herself and her family and continue expanding her harvests. But her goal is to buy a solar panel to be able to enjoy her family home with her siblings, parents and friends with light and not materials that are damaging to their health.
