Agustin's story

Agustín lives in the town of Bulo Bulo with his wife and three children. We works as a farmer growing squash and cassava on rented land. He sells his crop in the market in his town. His squash crop generates good income for him because of the strong demand for this vegetable in the market. For this reason, Agustín would like to increase the size of his squash crop. He is requesting this loan to plant two hectares (about five acres) of squash. He is requesting a loan of 10,000 BOB to buy seeds, to pay for the labor and to begin the planting. Agustín says that with this loan he will be able to improve his income and his quality of life, and that he will be able to meet his objectives.
