Djiba's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 3 packs of soap for 7,500 F CFA, one 20-liter can of oil for 17,500 F CFA, and a packet of powdered detergent for 5,000 F CFA.

Djiba's Group's story

This group was created on October 16, 2012, upon the inauguration of the local Banc Villageois. It consists of women from the same village who share a strong bond of support and solidarity. Their main activity is small trade. Mrs. Djiba (sitting at the far right with one hand raised) is the featured borrower for this group. Djiba, age 33, is the married mother of four children aged 2 to 16 years old, one of them a boy. She sells consumer products with a long shelf life such as oil, soap and detergents. She buys wholesale and sells at retail. She will use this new loan to buy 3 boxes of soap for 7,500 F CFA, one 20-liter can of oil for 17,500 F CFA, and a packet of powdered detergent for 5,000 F CFA. She will use her profits to support her children’s education, and to bolster her savings significantly enough to be able to seek a larger loan in the future.
