Rosas Blancas Group's story

The communal bank “ROSAS BLANCAS” (White Roses) will start its 22nd loan cycle with Pro Mujer as part of Centro Focal de Panamericana. The group has eight members, and Jenny is the secretary of its board. The members have a variety of businesses: selling cheeses, prepared foods, and vegetables; running a local store; selling empanadas and sandwiches; selling cosmetics; selling bread; and making crochet blankets. The loan will benefit micro businesses such as Jenny's. She said she joined Pro Mujer two years ago at the invitation of her mother, who belongs to the institution. She opened a cheese business several years ago by herself, as she had always wanted her own business. She will use the loan to buy cheese at local fairs to sell in her store. This work generates money to support her household; she is single and lives with her mother. When asked what she liked about Pro Mujer, she mentioned the access to credit and health services.
