Bolivia Mar Group's story

The communal bank “BOLIVIA MAR” is starting its seventh cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Senkata central focus. It is made up of 8 members and is directed by a board of directors of which Janett is president. The businesses of the communal bank's members are varied, among which are: corner shops, selling various items, knitting jumpers, selling food, cosmetics and crafts with Eva foam. The loan that they will take out will benefit the small business owners including Janett. She joined Pro Mujer two years ago when she was invited by a friend who is a member of the institution. At the moment she has a corner shop business which she inherited from her grandmother and has been developing ever since. She will use the loan that she will take out on buying rice, sugar and noodles. She will get the products from whole sale vendors in the city of La Paz and then sell them in her store. This work allows her to generate resources to maintain as best as possible her home as she is divorced and has three children. When she is asked what she most likes about Pro Mujer, she answers that she likes the healthcare training, the loans and the fact that the loans are easy to access. In the photo, one of the members is accompanied by her daughter. Janett is dressed with a white jacket.
