Vallerian's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped To buy windows and doors for his new school.
Having gone through the challenges of unemployment and several job losses, Vallerian, a teacher by profession in his late 30s, teamed up with other colleagues to start a primary school, Honest Model Primary School, in Rwenge, a surburb in Ibanda district. They started the school in makeshift structures with little capital to meet staff salaries and school requirements. Vallerian says he faced several challenges in the beginning including threats from local administration to close the school because of non-compliance with the required school standards. However, due to his hard work and determination, they managed to change the status of the school and now it is in a commendable status, fully registered with government. It also has permanent structures. On behalf of the school directors, Vallerian has applied for a loan of UGX 4,000,000 to buy windows and door shutters for the semi-completed school building. He hopes that with the school structures looking complete, they will get more pupils enrolling. In the photograph is Vallerian and his wife. She is also one of the directors of the school.
