Ledi's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase all needed materials to build a greenhouse that will be used to grow greens to sell.

Ledi's story

Ledi is 22 years old and lives in Mukhiani in the Tskaltubo district with her 25-year-old husband, mother-in-law and one year old son. Ledi requested a loan from local financial institutions several times to start up a family business, but her loan request was rejected every time, because of their low income and the family’s poor living conditions. Their main source of the income is from agricultural activities. In particular, they have a milk cow and a plot of agricultural land to grow greens. The cow’s milk is used to make dairy products which are sold with the harvested greens at the local markets. Ledi’s husband is an artisan and he works on private orders for a small monthly salary. Ledi was approved for a loan from Credo to start-up a family business. With her credit, Ledi will purchase all the needed materials to build a greenhouse where she will grow vegetables that will be sold at the local markets. Ledi will then be able to earn additional income for the family to improve their living conditions.
