Nicida's story

Nicida is 27 years old, is married and has three children with whom she lives in her rented home. She has been working in her store of food products for seven years. It is located in the first floor of the house of her mother in law. Since her business is located in a corner of her neighborhood, this has allowed her to have many customers as well as to make many friendships. In her business we can find many products considered necessities such as rice, sugar, soft drinks, canned food and other consumables with high demand among her distinguished customers. One of the main problems affecting the profits is the delay in paying the products she sells on credit. Her long term financial goal is to buy a land where to build a house, because she thinks it's a good way to invest in her future. This is her first loan from Kiva, for this reason she is very grateful for the opportunity given and is committed to pay her installments on time. She needs 3,000 nuevos soles to supply her business with more products such as cereals, soft drinks, canned food and sweets, hoping to maintain and improve the flow of customers.
