A loan helped to buy seeds, fertilizer, insecticides, plastic bags and other supplies for planting.

Banco Mujer Kábata Group's story

Brileyda is one of the female partners of Banco Mujer Kábata, a group of indigenous women. She is a young woman, 26 years old, and the mother of two children, one 11 years old and the other 9, both students in primary school. She is in a civil union with the father of her children. They are both farmers and work on a small farm they own, cultivating plantains. This is her second loan, and the previous one was a great help as it allowed her to buy supplies like seeds, fertilizer, insecticides and other things to be able to work with more ease, to increase production, and to improve the quality of the product. Like the previous, this loan will be invested in supplies for planting plantains. Her goal is to increase her income by means of her business in order to improve her quality of life and the environment in which she and her family live. Along with Brileyda, there are 3 other female partners who are going to invest in agricultural and commercial activities.
