Banco Comunal En Dios Confiamos Group's story

The En Dios Confiamos communal bank is made up of 10 members- 8 women and 2 men. They are responsible men and women with 25 children under their care. They are hardworking, responsible people. Unfortunately, due to a lack of resources, they were unable to go to school and they had to work from a very young age. That is why they fight day to day to offer a better future to their children. The En Dios Confiamos communal bank coordinator is María Matilde. Thanks to her spirit and her eagerness to get ahead, she has an economic activity of selling tortillas from her house. She does this activity with a lot of pleasure because it is her and her family's way of life. She works at this activity for around 10 hours a day. The purpose of the loan is to invest in working capital buy buying raw materials such as corn, firewood, gas, plastic bags, a griddle and phosphorous so that in the near future she can make more income. The En Dios Confiamos communal bank is grateful to the Kiva investors for the help they offer low income people and poor countries such as Nicaragua so they can have dignified work.
