Yesenia Raquel's story
Yesenia, lives in the Las Canoas community on the outskirts of Boaco. She is 25 years old, married, and has a 2-year-old girl, and also a 12-year-old girl who studies at the local high school. Yesenia has a convenience store that sells rice, sugar, beans, soda, bread, cosmetics and underwear. It's a business she started four years ago with money she had saved that her husband gave her. He works as a bricklayer and general builder and this is how together they earn their living and support their family. This loan is needed to buy rice, sugar, beans, oil, soda and underwear to sell. Yesenia says that the loan will help her as she will be able to invest a little more in the convenience store by buying more products. She will earn more profits that will help her continue to supply more and improve her house and grow the premises of the store a bit more.
