Oliver is 45 years old and lives in the town of Kayunga in the Mukono region of Uganda. she is married and has 5 children who are all currently in school. For the past 4 years, Oliver has been working hard to manage her retail shop, which sells soap, sugar, milk and bread. To help expand his business, Oliver has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase more items such as rice, maize flour and soda to sell, and will help Oliver to generate greater profits and pay some of the school fees for her children. Oliver hopes that in the future she will be able to pay school fees for her children. Oliver is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Oliver who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
