Fatoumata's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy merchandise for her food store.
Born in 1982 in Sikasso, Fatoumata is a divorcee and a mother of two children who live in a large, traditional, extended [family] in Medine, one of the neighborhoods around the town of Sikasso (3rd administrative region of the republic of Mali). After having tried many different jobs without success, Fatoumata finally opened her own shop, where she buys and sells food products. [She has been doing this] for more than five years now. She conducts her business in front of her house in Medine Sikasso, where she is highly sought after by her customers because of the quality of her products. To satisfy her growing number of customers, she decided to join the micro-finance institution Soro Yiriwaso three years ago. She has already benefited from six loans that have all been repaid without difficulty. So now, Fatoumata is asking for this seventh loan to buy from suppliers in Sikasso, but also Bamako, 20 packets of NBB drink, 20 cases of Bramali drink, 40 cartons of mineral water, 10 cartons of Candia milk, 15 cartons of different canned drinks (Malta, Vimto, Ivorio), 20 packets of mineral water in sachets, and some cartons of different quality cookies. She hopes to earn with this loan an average monthly income of 170,000 francs CFA, which will be used to increase her business capital, contribute to her family's expenses, and to pay the interest on the loan.
