Alejandra Patricia's story
Alejandra is 37 years old. She is married to Julian Quinteros and they have six children, two of whom left the household to work in the city of Santa Cruz. They are a family of limited economic resources. They live in the community of Coluyo, in the outskirts of Cochabamba where they have a small adobe house with a thatched roof. Their main activity is agriculture, they have fields where they grow potatoes, beans, peas and wheat. The loan will be used to purchase compost (hen droppings) and seeds, which will help her a lot because it is planting season. Alejandra explains that she lost her previous crop due to flooding. Among her goals are to buy a house closer to the city of Cochabamba and for her four children to be able to study for a professional degree, so they can have a better quality of life.
