Mariama's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more injection medicine, blood tonics, and anti-malarial drugs.

Mariama's story

Mariama is 32 years old and a married mother of one child, age ten years. She runs a pharmacy in Waterloo, in the eastern area in Sierra Leone. Her child is currently attending school. Her husband is a driver, but his income is not enough to support the family. She's been in this business for five years and sells injection medicine, blood tonics, and anti-malarial drugs. At present, her challenge is with price inflation. Mariama requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone Microfinance Company Limited to purchase more injection medicine, blood tonics, and anti-malarial drugs. She says that the extra income from this loan will help her educate her child up to the university level and will improve her pharmacy. In the future, she would like to open a clinic, so she would help her community with health care. She is grateful for your support.
