Rashid's story

Rashid is 42 years old, married, and has already two children, 15-year-old and 5-year-old sons. His 15-year-old son goes to school. This son will be a doctor. His wife stays at home, so he is the only one making an income for the family. Rashid has been an IDP (Internally Displaced Person) from Fuzuli city. Now he lives in Fuzuli region, which is close to the occupied border. This is Rashid's third loan from Kiva. Rashid has been in business, selling fruits and vegetables, for 10 years. Now he needs a 2,000 AZN (Azerbaijan New Manat) loan to buy aubergines, apples, cucumbers and onions, to resell at local bazaars and deliver by car. Rashid wants to use the money from his larger business to help his family. In the future, he wants to have his own store in the bazaar. This will be more profitable for his business. Rashid is thankful to Komak and Kiva for supporting him again.
