Yisel Isabel's story

Since 2010, Yisel decided to undertake an activity in which she could generate an income to help support her household's spending, her family is made up of her partner and their two children aged 2 years and 6 months respectively. As such, she saved a little of the family budget and, supported by her partner, she bought her first items such as necklaces, shoes and perfume which she sells by herself, and it is going very well. She then bought her first glass cabinet and little by little she made her mark in the market, to the point of partnering with a business which offers a wide range of products via specialized product guides. Her business today has grown because she sells by credit and on a cash basis, however, on several occasions, particularly in seasons where sales rise, her working capital is insufficient to meet demand and this is precisely why she is applying for a Kiva loan, the first type of financing from the Mario Santo Domingo foundation. With this loan, she will buy jewelry products and will sell to her more well-off customers, all of this because her dream is to finally have a well-stocked commercial store where her customers find all they need.
