A loan helped To buy fungicides and fertilizers for her coffee farm.
Mirna Elizabeth's story
Mirna is 40 years of age, married, and lives in a rural village in Santa Bárbara. She has a 16-year-old son who is at school, and her husband carries out construction jobs in addition to farming. Mirna is very hard-working, and has been producing coffee for 16 years. She sells the wet parchment coffee in her local market. She spends the time she needs on her business, and all her family works producing coffee, as the area in which they live is well-suited for this kind of farming. Mirna has requested a loan of 15,000 Lempiras, which she plans to use to buy fertilizer and fungicides to help her farming and improve her harvest. She also plans to continue expanding her area of production, so that she can help her son with his studies and allow him to inherit her business.
