Más Que Vencedoras (Azoguez) Group's story
The community bank “Más que Vencedoras” (More than winning) is comprised of 10 women and 1 man that live in the city of Azogues. This city has colonial architecture and a special feature of the city is that it is located in a sloping land. At the highest point is the Cathedral that is very admired. The residents are nice, gentile, and have a kind heart like the members of the group. The members are hard working women that work hard everyday to improve the stability of their income and get their families ahead. One of the members of the group is Lourdes. She is using her first loan in the community bank of “Más que Vencedoras” (More than winning) to which she was invited by a friend. She is 27-years-old, is married, and has a 2-year-old son. Her husband is a tailor. They do not have their own home they are leasing. Lourdes dedicates herself to the chores of the home and to raising her son. Also, in her home she has a small seamstress shop. For a year she has been working from Monday to Saturdays without a fixed schedule. In this time she makes and arranges all kinds of clothing. Her loan will be invested in the purchase of fabric, thread, and lubricant for her sewing machine. Her goal is to have her own home.
