Aisha's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to increase her food stocks at her restaurant and start selling sarongs door to door.

Aisha's Group's story

Aisha, who is in her early 30s, is married and a mother of three girls who are in school. For a period of six years now, Aisha has had a mamalishe (restaurant) offering different food services. She wishes to start another business selling sarongs door to door. She works from 06am to 03pm daily and is able to make a small profit each month. This will be her fourth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy ingredients for her mamalishe menu items like sacks of rice, beans, kilos of sugar, baking flour, maize flour and repair her mamalishe place. With the profits she bought a plot of land for building a house in the future. With this loan request, she will use it to increase her food stocks and start selling sarongs door to door to increase her profits. Her dream is to one day be able to build a house. She will share this loan with her loan group " MWANGALUKA " which totals 16 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
