Baigalmaa's story

Baigalmaa, 47 years old, lives with her husband and daughter in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. The family resides in a traditional Mongolian ger (a portable felt dwelling). She and her husband have been making and selling accessories for shamans for ten years. She herself is a shaman, and ten years ago, she first made her own dress. Then the family decided to start this business. Her husband previously worked in the garment industry and accumulated the necessary skills for making dresses. Also she has a position as a consultant at a non-governmental organization that incorporates over 200 shamans. All shamans have their own unique animal theme, so every dress requires different types of materials. She is requesting a loan of 3,500,000 MNT to purchase materials such as leather, animal fur, metals, silk, etc. As a result, she and her husband can make accessories for shamans without worrying about an inventory shortage. The borrower is a very hardworking individual who, together with her husband, wants to build her own house in the near future.
