Victor Florencio's story
Victor lives in the city of Camana, which is characterized by its warm climate, beautiful beaches and agricultural development, in particular rice and beans. In his free time he enjoys listening to music, especially folk music, and sometimes he enjoys eating one of his favorite dishes - a tasty Peruvian beef stir fry known as 'Saltado de Carne'. Due to limited financial resources Victor has only attended high school, but he would have liked to study to become a Veterinarian because he loves taking care of animals. Victor is dedicated to his business and works hard growing rice in his field. He normally works about 6 hours a day, and up to 10 hours on days when he needs to water his crops as he must ensure that they are properly watered. He believes that his business is successful because he works very hard and above all he is honest. Victor is very grateful to Kiva lenders, and thanks to their help he will be able to buy manure and fertilizer for rice cultivation. This will help him to care for and maintain his crops, so that they are in a good condition for a plentiful harvest. He will be able to keep fighting to achieve his biggest dream, to expand his business.
