Twizerane Group's story
Patricie is a member of the Twizerane solidarity group, which grows corn. She is 40 years old, married and has 4 children, the eldest of whom is 16 years old and the youngest, 5. All of her children attend school and she is responsible for no other people. She was born in Rwanda and has 3 years of secondary school education. She started to work with ACB Ltd in 2008 and is on her 4th loan cycle. The previous loans have been correctly reimbursed. With the current loan, she will rent a field, buy seeds and pay the labourers. Climate change is the only difficulty she expects which could result in poor repayment of the loan. Her strategy is to use modern agricultural techniques, notably chemical fertilizers, in order to increase her agricultural productivity. She will look for markets for her harvest. Her business ambition is to become a professional farmer. As for her family, she will make sure that her children get an education and continue to ensure her family's well-being. As well as the business being financed, she also has a business selling various items to retail customers.
