Valida's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy two cattle, one milking cow, and fodder.
Valida is a 43-year-old married woman with two children. She is an internally displaced person (IDP) and lives in Bilasuvar IDP Settlement. Valida has bred cattle and cows for the last 15 years. She was a housewife, but her husband's salary as a laborer was too low to cover the family's need, so Valida decided to purchase her first cow. Valida usually buys small calves, raises and fattens them for 5-6 months, and then resells them for a profit in the livestock bazaar. Her monthly income is 100 AZN. Meat is in very high demand in Azerbaijan and people use it in everyday dishes like pilau and dolma. Valida also keeps milking cows for personal use and for selling homemade milk and yoghurt to neighbors. Valida wants to expand her business and her family's improve living conditions. She applied for a loan of 1,500 AZN in order to purchase two cattle, one milking cow, and fodder. This will be her second loan and she has a very good loan history.
