A loan helped to buy clothes, plastic goods and to invest in her children's schooling.
Esmeralda Del Carmen's story
Esmeralda, 29, has two children, a 13-year-old and a 17-year-old. She’s been a merchant for the last 10 years. She used to just study and learned the business on her own initiative. She feeds her children at 7am and gets them ready to go to school. At 8am she and her uncle start their day selling from place to place. They cover long distances and return home at 4:30pm The loan she’s asking Fundación Campo for is to buy clothes in all sizes to sell. She will also buy plastic goods (plates, glasses, colanders, etc.) and will use the remainder for her children’s schooling. With the loan she’ll have on hand everything needed to keep her business functioning and will be able to earn income to feed her children since she’s a single mother. Her wish is to own a house so she can pass a stable home down to her children.
