Bassam's story

Bassam, a 38-year-old married man, lives in Taiz, Yemen. He has a Bachelor degree but like most university graduates in third-world countries, Bassam did not find a professional job. He decided to start up his own business, a grocery store. He is a symbol of an ambitious, optimistic young person. His business started six years ago when he was selling food in the street. A few years later, he opened his grocery store. Bassam wants to purchase new types of food products to meet the needs of his customers. He asked for a loan in the amount of 350,000 YER. Bassam looks forward to becoming a merchant and an authorized agent for food companies in Yemen.
