Ema's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to start up a bakery.
Ema has now been approved for a loan within the framework of a new joint initiative through Kiva and Credo. The start-up loan program envisages provision of business start-up and re-startup credits with soft conditions to rural poor people, who do not have access to credit products. These rural poor people are regarded as “high risk borrowers” because of their low income. With her credit, Ema will start up her own bakery. She will bake traditional Georgian bread and sell it for a good price. She owns a commercial space in a profitable location and hopes her project will be profitable and will offer quality products to her customers. This will increase her sales volume. The new business initiative, financed with the Kiva start-up loan, will significantly improve Ema's family's living conditions.
