Jamila's story

R. Jamila is 33 years old and has 2 children. Her husband is a cook in a local restaurant. In order to help her husband support the family, Jamila is running her own business. She sells clothes and shoes for children in a rented store that is located in her home town. In addition, each Friday, Jamila sells clothes and shoes in a market in the neighboring city. Those days she works from 5 a.m. until late evening. Jamila's husband helps her run the sales business on Fridays. Currently, Jamila is planning to increase the store inventory by purchasing more goods for the summer season. Therefore, she is asking for a loan of US$500 for a 6-month term. Having proved herself as an honest and reliable client of her loan organization, Jamila promises to repay also the current loan on time. Jamila is thankful to everyone who has supported her thus far, allowing her to develop her business.
