Bolingo 2 (1) Group's story
Peggy, age 36, is engaged with four children, ages 15 months to 15 years. Three of the children attend school. She is representing the Bolingo 2 (1) group. Peggy owns a butcher shop in a local market, and has been operating for one year. She will use the loan to buy more chicken and beef for her shop. Her business strategy is to write competitive meat prices on a board outside of her shop. Whatever is the going rate is in the market that day, she lowers her price by a little. Peggy has received two previous loans from HOPE Congo, Kiva's partner. She has a good repayment record. Currently, she rents a building for her butcher shop, but in the future she hopes to build her own structure.
