Awa's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy baobab tree fruit and products she needs for making cream (sugar, flavorings..).

Awa's Group's story

This group was formed 14 years ago. Its members work in perfect harmony together. Their main business activities are sales and animal raising. Astou, who is stood on the right of the photo raising her hand, is 48 years old. She is married and the mother of nine children: six sons and three daughters. Astou's business is selling ice cream. She will use her loan to buy baobab tree fruit, products such as sugar, vanilla and flavorings, and bags in which to freeze the ice cream. With the profits she makes, Astou contributes toward her family's daily expenses and covers her children's medical expenses in case they are sick. She also provides her children with supplies, makes her interest payments, and increases her savings with her village bank.
