Johnson's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more plastic buckets, plates, etc. to resell.

Johnson's story

Johnson, 28 years old and living in the town of Pallisa in the Iganga region of Uganda, is married and has four children, two of whom are currently in school. For the past five years, Johnson has been working hard to manage his small shop, which sells plastic items.

To help expand his business, Johnson has requested a loan of 2500,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda to buy more plastic buckets, plates, etc. to resell. This will help Johnson generate greater profits and pay school fees for his children. In the future he hopes to open up a wholesale shop.

Johnson is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Johnson who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for micro loans.
