Corazon De Oro Group's story

The “CORAZON DE ORO” community organization will begin its second cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Collpani center. It’s made up of eight members and governed by a board of directors where Cecilia serves as president. The members are involved in various businesses, including: food sales, macramé weaving, food stores, hosiery sales, and sneaker sales. This loan will benefit their small businesses. Cecilia is in her third year with Pro Mujer, having joined after being invited by a fellow member. She has a food business which she began on her mother’s encouragement and help. She will use the money from this loan to buy tools (utensils) from distributers in El Alto. She will then produce and sell from her stall. This type of work allows her to generate income to support her household, as she lives with her husband and her son. When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says that she likes the training about health, credit, and savings.
