Marieta's story

Marieta is 50 years old. She lives in the city of Vanadzor with her husband, student daughter, and mother-in-law. Her son now lives and works in the Russian Federation and, from time to time, helps his family in Armenia. Marieta has a bachelor's degree in the field of pedagogy. She used to work as a teacher in Vanadzor’s secondary school, but because of teachers' low salaries in Armenia, she decided to change her work position. More than one year ago, Marieta engaged in the clothes trading business. She rents a stall in one of Vanadzor's trading centers and re-sells men’s, women’s and children’s clothes, which she imports from Yerevan wholesale markets. Her husband is working in the construction sphere, so Marieta runs and makes her business alone. With the profit from her business, Marieta solves her family's needs and pays her daughter’s education fees. Marieta asks from Kiva lenders 1000000 AMD to buy a new assortment of men’s, women’s, and children’s clothes for the winter trading season.
