María Gladys is 53 years old, married and has three adult children. She is from the city of León, a place located in the western area of the country. María Gladys' work is the sale of general merchandise, a business which consists of the purchase and sale of clothing such as pants, shirts, skirts, underwear, sleepwear and shoes. María Gladys has had this business for 17 years, and it is located in a permanent location in the city. In her previous loans, she showed herself to be responsible by paying in a timely way. The purpose of the loan is to invest in working capital and stock her store with a variety of clothing articles. She is grateful for the help that the Kiva investors provide to low-income people, and to poor countries such as Nicaragua, so that people can have a decent livelihood.
