Naseem's Group's story
Naseem, 45, is a confident and independent woman. She is a responsible mother of 5 sons and 2 daughters. Her husband is jobless. Her elder son is abroad. She doesn't have enough money to provide education for all of her children; therefore, only one of her children is enrolled in a private school. Naseem herself is an efficient and hardworking tailor. Since 2004, she has been running a small tailoring business in her home. She provides tailoring services in her community. Currently, she is facing a very hard time, as her husband is jobless and she is the only breadwinner in the family. Her net income is insufficient to fulfill the needs of her family. As this business in the only source of income for her family, so she wants to expand it by purchasing some tailoring materials, like threads in various colors, clothes and one sewing machine. However, due to the lack of finance, she is unable to do this. Because of this, as a member of 6-person lending group,she has requested for a loan from Kiva's partner, BRAC Pakistan. This will help her to increase her net income and savings. Naseem is very thankful to Kiva. She desires to provide a quality education for her children so that they can live a happy life in the future. Note: In the picture Naseem holds a pass book in her hand.
